Dayton Ghostwalk  2010

Ghostly Pioneers of Old Town Dayton Return!
Each Nevada Day the pioneers of Old Town Dayton return, recreated by members of the Historical Society of Dayton Valley. Nevada Day, celebrated on the last Friday in October.

We were called on to participate in the Dayton Ghost walk on October 29th 2010 in Old Towne Dayton, by showing the public our equipment and by giving them some information on how we use it to "search" for ghosts and by giving a brief informational history of the basement of the Dayton community center / Old Dayton High School.
We arrived around 4:30 pm and set up our equipment in the basement and tried for some EVP's in the area but due to the noise coming from above (the band setting up) we were unble to get anything.
The turnout for the ghost walk was good and we enjoyed ourselves very much, after the ghost walk had completed we tried again for some EVP's and Video's/Still Pictures but since the band was now tearing down and there was so much activity above this proved to be a lost cause.

We would like to thank Ramie Thomas and the town of Old Dayton for having us join them in their Ghost Walk.

Some general Information on Dayton:
Dayton was the first Nevada Chinatown, In 1856, Chinese laborers were imported to dig a water ditch from two miles west of town to Gold Cañon. At times, 200 Chinese worked the placer claims in the canyon. Portions of the Chinese Ditch are intact today, and one Chinese home and a portion of another remain as Dayton businesses.
